Master Sessions

Master Sessions are next-level massages that provide extensive therapeutic benefits. Each therapist offers his or her own Master Sessions based on individual advanced education, unique experience, and personal passion. The cost is an additional $25 per hour.

$98 total for a one-hour session - $80 for members.
$143 for a 90-minute session - $120 for members.

Master Sessions Defined

Deep Tissue - Focused or Full-Body. A highly therapeutic massage that targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, addressing core systemic dysfunctions and allowing for long-term pain relief. This approach requires measured patience - one must ease the body into a healing state, not beat it into submission. Therefore, while key areas can be addressed in a one-hour session, a full-body massage requires a minimum of 90 minutes.

Hot Stone Massage. Warm basalt stones are seamlessly interwoven into a massage, melting muscular tension, increasing the flow of blood and lymph, and helping to distract and quiet the mind. The gentle heat helps to ease the body's resistance, allowing for deeper therapeutic work and prolonged benefits.

Myofascial Release. A gentle technique that effectively treats chronic pain, headaches, sports injuries, or any stubborn muscular tension. Slow, steady pressure is applied to systematically release trigger points, soften and stretch connective tissue, and increase the flexibility and range of motion of broad muscle groups.

Neuro-muscular Therapy. A systematic and methodical approach to pain management and rehabilitation which requires extensive skill and training on the part of the practitioner. Research-based, scientifically proven routines address the route neurological and muscular causes of dysfunction and discomfort, providing noticeable and lasting results.

Prenatal / Postnatal Massage. Pregnancy has dramatic - often traumatic - effects on the body. While many therapists are capable of providing a simple relaxing massage to women before and after birth, few have the knowledge and the passion to safely address the key physical concerns unique to pregnancy. A Master Session will deliver safe, effective pain-relief while addressing structural imbalances. You’re worth it, Mom!

Primal Reflex Release Technique. A technique based on addressing lingering trauma held by the body when the flight or fight response has been overstimulated. An excellent choice for chronic pain resulting from a car accident, PTSD, fibromyalgia, and surgery. Trigger regions or “Nocioceptive Startle-Reflex (NSRs)” areas are systematically identified and released, bringing instant relief, retraining the body towards a healthy equilibrium, and aiding in an overall sense of well-being. The client can remain fully clothed if desired.

Sports & Rehabilitation Massage. Therapeutic sports and rehabilitative massage focuses on treating soft tissue aches, pain, and injuries that are associated with recreational activities. Anyone who routinely stretches their physical limits through movement such as running, cycling, hiking, swimming, dancing, sports, strength training, and aerobics can benefit from sports massage. It helps you get into shape faster, with less stiffness and soreness. It helps speed recovery from heavy workouts and injury while reducing the likelihood of new injury.

Stretch Routine. A comprehensive routine that addresses the most common areas of restriction in the joints through gentle and repetitive stretching, increasing range of motion while reducing pain and muscular constriction.

Trigger Point Therapy. A specifically directed deep tissue massage aimed at freeing up long-held Trigger Points. It is best delivered over time, with a series of at least 3 90-minute or 2-hour massages spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it better to float before or after a massage?

There are benefits to both. Typically, getting a massage first will enhance your floatation experience, while floating first will enhance your massage. We recommend you try it both ways. Discover your own personal preference and then be sure to let us know what you think!

Is it ok to use infrared therapy on the same day as my massage?

Absolutely. This is a particularly good combination when detoxification, increased circulation, pain management or lymphatic drainage are the main therapy goals. While you will receive benefits either way, scheduling your infrared therapy session before your massage usually produces better results.

How much clothing should I leave on during my massage?

No matter how nude you decide to go, the important thing is that you feel safe and comfortable. Most people undress at least down to their underpants. Some choose to take everything off. A professional massage therapist is trained in “draping”.

How often should I get a massage?

Every day! If this is not possible, then it's best to design a treatment plan with your therapist that takes into account your health goals and your budget. People who are generally healthy and want to incorporate massage into their regular wellness routine seem to find that a massage once or twice a month yields noticeable improvements.
