Is it safe?

Absolutely! An ionic footbath is safe, gentle and pain­free. You simply rest your feet in a basin of warm water, sit back and relax.

Can anyone use the footbath?

We recommend you ask your massage therapist about that. Just schedule a “signature massage” and you can discuss your options on the day of your appointment.

Why do my pH levels matter?

The ideal pH of the human body is 7.30 to 7.45, which is slightly alkaline. Approximately 95% of people experience a state of acidity, indicating an excess of hydrogen ions. Diseases thrive in an acidic environment. Worms, microorganisms and other parasites flourish. An ionic detox footbath facilitates the alkalinization of the body by eliminating free radicals through a process called ionization. Arguably, raising the body’s pH levels is the most important benefit offered by ionic detox.

How often should I use the footbath?

Detoxifying too quickly can lead to a healing crises, where the body is overburdened by a sudden release of toxins, resulting in fatigue and discomfort. To avoid a healing crises we recommend that people between the ages of 10 and 65 use the machine no more than every other day, with a maximum of 3 footbaths per week, while those younger than 10 and older than 65 use the footbath no more than twice per week.

How does it work?

A device called an array is placed into a basin of warm salt water. The array emits low­voltage electrical currents into the water, creating positive and negative ions. The negative ions enter through the feet and travel throughout the body, increasing the charge on cell membranes and reducing surplus hydrogen ions. The cells of the body are then able to process nutrients and toxins more efficiently. Because the healing occurs on a cellular level, the benefits are sweeping and systemic ­ the entire body is affected.
