Floating Therapy - How sanitary is floatation therapy?

How sanitary is floatation therapy?

The water in the float chamber is much cleaner than the water in a swimming pool or hot tub because a high concentration of Epsom Salts creates a sterile environment in which microorganisms cannot survive.  The chamber has a filter and ultra-violet purification system that kicks on after each float and runs at least twice a day. We also use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution at the end of each night which inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Clients are required to thoroughly shampoo, soap, and rinse on-site before entering the float chamber. We take every precaution to provide you with the cleanest, safest and most relaxing experience possible. We are members of the Float Tanks Association (FTA) and adhere to their stringentregulations concerning water sanitization and filtering.
